Summary
June of '71 is the summer that changed your life—you moved out to Los Angeles with your cousin, Camila, and her boyfriend's band in a run-down van. As the boys try to pave their way in music, you're suddenly set on your own path in Hollywood, to become the actress you always dreamed of being, no matter how difficult the road becomes.
"Pittsburgh never felt big enough for me— I always preferred to be swallowed whole by a big city. To just be one tiny moving part in a machine that sounds of bustling hot streets and smells of carne asada searing on a hot grill. I wanted to see palm trees lining the streets and neon lights outside my window, no matter how bright. Camila always said my head was in the clouds, but I don’t see anything wrong with that. Sometimes it’s better to dream than to be bitter in our circumstances."
