Summary

Summary
Are you copper or canyon? Canyons stand great and mighty, jagged rock and stone that is slowly carved and ebbed away with time and water, until a trickle becomes a roar, a stream becomes a river. But in the end, under great force like Atlas holding the sky, they still erode. Crumbling more and more until a great chasm spans out between them, and what it once was is only recognizable in its shadow.
Copper changes color. Shiny and blinding, but over time it fades. Darker and darker it goes, exposed to wind and rain, to air, until it's nothing more than a dull, soft green. Recognizable in its shape still, but undeniably changed. You could restore it, but in doing so you risk stripping it of it's original detail.
What does Shen Yuan do when faced against the current; when faced against the elements? Is he copper, dulling over time, but retaining his shape. Or is he canyon, slowly being chipped away with more and more pressure, until a crack becomes a chasm? To erode, to stand tall?
Let me try that again:
Shen Yuan wakes up in a woodshed.
He's in a body that is not his own. He thinks.

The light hurt too much for him to bear. He curled in on himself, barely noticing how his body was too small to be his. He felt arms envelop him, a hand gently stroking his hair. That’s weird, when did his hair get so long? He doesn’t know. There was a voice humming to him, comforting as he sank back into sleep.

Summary

Not knowing how to turn back to his human form and abhorring the thought of any of his martial brothers seeing him this way, Shen Qingqiu runs to the bamboo groves in hopes of figuring it out by himself, only to be found by one of his disciples, Shen Yuan, who has no clue the fluffy white cat in front of him is his dreaded Shizun.
Why Shen Yuan would vent about his life to a cat is beyond Shen Qingqiu’s understanding. Why Shen Qingqiu would keep coming back to listen is also beyond his understanding.

Summary
Shen Yuan, upon transmigrating into a child plant body far before the plot starts, decides to make the best of it and tries to make his new life as comfortable as possible and evade what possible death flags that may befall him, all the while fulfilling the System's quests and his role. Unbeknownst to him, he plays a much bigger importance to certain people than he'd expect.
(This is entirely self–indulgent, the plot here is... Idk if there even is a plot. I planned points, but the direction is more of like slice–of–life. Characters might be ooc, and I'm heavy on head cannons.)
