Summary
Chris gestured dramatically. “They always have these… moments. Like, when they were just friends, they acted like a couple anyway—cooking together, talking about everything, annoying me with their weird jokes. That’s just who they are. But now? Ever since papá moved in, they’re worse. They do all this cute stuff in public spaces in the house—the kitchen, the living room—it’s like they forget I live there too.”
Maddie grinned. "Define 'cute stuff'"
Chris threw his hands in the air. "Dancing in the kitchen. Calling each other dumb nicknames. Complimenting each other like they're in some rom-com. One time, Buck called dad's eyes 'cow eyes' and it turned into this whole thing about how beautiful brown eyes are"
Maddie laughed so hard she almost choked on her water. "Cow eyes?!"
Chris nodded solemnly. "I had to listen to Buck recite poetry about dirt and coffee and autumn leaves. It was a nightmare. And dad didn't even argue! He tried to compliment papá back, and it was just as bad. They didn't even notice when I told them to stop!"
Maddie wiped tears of laughter from her eyes. "You poor kid. That does sound pretty awful."Series

Summary
But this is Christopher’s first Halloween back in Los Angeles; he came home not long after Christmas, and in the months since January has returned completely to comfort in Eddie’s presence. The rift between them faded so much in the time back together that, despite Eddie insisting Christopher could go with his friends if he wanted, the teenager asked if he could go with Eddie, Josh, Buck and Tommy instead. Or the one where Christopher and his dad are finally back on balanced ground, but Eddie can’t help feeling like he’s about to wreck it all over again.

Cause I hate Eddie's parents, specially Helena, so I needed to vent my feelings.

Summary
Eddie's never known anyone quite like Evan Buckley, with his supercharged and forever-bleeding heart pinned earnestly and so prominently to his shirt sleeve that Eddie is sure it's sometimes visible to the naked eye.
Bar his son, Buck is the greatest person Eddie's ever met.

Summary
Maddie and Chimney were back; Eddie was back, and life was great. Well, mostly. He was glad they were home; they all were, but something wasn’t right. Buck felt stupid and ashamed that he was uncomfortable around Chim, but the Diaz Boys had his back.

Summary
“Sure, I love the zoo.” Chris is saying with that perfectly adorable giggle that makes Eddie want to melt whenever he hears it—which is far too infrequently these days. “My dad takes me there all the time.”
Eddie’s head snaps up at that, quick and sharp. His fingers go numb and he scrambles uselessly with the tongs as they fall with a loud clatter against the grill.
Because Eddie can count the times he’s been to the zoo on one hand.
It’s Buck who’s been taking Christopher there nearly once a week for years.

Summary
Buck and Tommy's third (second?) date couldn't have gone better: picnic brunch, hike in the park. And then Christopher calls, and all kinds of conversational chaos break loose.
Or, the one where Christopher spills ALL the tea (or as much as he can remember) about Buck and his family before the wedding.
Takes place between 7x05 and 7x06, as well as after my fics "What You Bring" and "What Happens In Peru Doesn't Always Stay There."

Summary
Buck dies and Eddie knows he needs to finally let go of the fear that’s been keeping him from telling Buck everything, because that fear is nothing compared to seeing Buck suspended in the sky far from his reach and lost to him.

Buck and Eddie have gotten engaged, but they haven't even told the others they're dating! Are they going to be able to keep it a secret until the weekend, or is everyone going to find out before then?
Edit - this was going to be short, but it has, as many fics do, into a longer journey. I have no idea where this is going. Join me on this journey.

Summary
Eddie was sitting on the floor of the hallway with his back against Christopher’s bedroom door. His eyes were dry, streaky tracks staining his cheeks where he had cried so much he ran out of tears. Through the closed door, he could hear sobbing, his son crying out for the one person who wasn’t there. He felt useless, wanting nothing more than to give Christopher exactly what he wanted but powerless to do so. He wrapped his arms around his legs and rested his head on his knees, curling up impossibly small.
Buck was missing. It had been twelve months since anyone last saw him.
-----
Or, Buck was never found after the tsunami, but a year later, some hope returns to the 118.

Summary
...It wasn’t until after Shannon left him and abandoned her child, until a night where he drank himself stupid and the ringing wouldn’t stop. It was just there, a screeching tea kettle explosion that wouldn’t go away. It felt like his brain was going to melt out of his skull. He fell asleep that night with his hands clasped over his ears and tear tracks down his face.
Or Eddie Diaz and the battle for the silence in his head.
