Yellow was the most prevalent colour of chocobo in the Gold Saucer races. Easily obtained and easier still to train. A Yellow would offer the rider a good shot at victory. The blues and greens were theoretically faster, but wilder, harder to handle. Mostly only usable by the more talented and experienced racers of which Tifa was one. There were moments when Tifa could not help but marvel at the direction her life had taken; from finding a tiny abandoned chick on Mount Nibel, rearing it and forming an unbreakable bond with her companion.
Tifa is a professional Chocobo racer at the Gold Saucer. A new rider arrives with a chocobo colour none have seen before.

As time goes on for them things become strenuous between them between fights that could end up with one of them dead.
Will Rika be able to pull Sephiroth out of the darkness and help him to regain his humanity or will this challenge end up with her joining the life stream?

Cloud glanced over at Aeris as the minister recited the various legal jargon necessary for the ceremony. No additional pomp or ceremony, but the gothic look and atmosphere at least gave proceedings a detail they wouldn't have achieved if they had decided to elope in Kalm or Junon or Costa del Sol. That again was not a notion she considered in the past. Weddings were expensive and complex affairs; worked out in advance to intricate detail. Something of a thrill to decide, on the spur of a dice-roll, on the clawed foot of that one chocobo crossing the finish line before any other, to get married. And to a man she had known two weeks perhaps?
Aeris gets married to Cloud in the Gold Saucer. Later the couple deal with how things are changing between them.
