Summary
Sae-byeok wakes up alone in a very nice hospital room in Seoul, with a very nice nurse tending to her wounds and welcoming her back to the waking world with a comforting smile. When the nurse tells her that she was mugged, she laughs so long and so loudly that the nurse calls for a doctor to sedate her. The tears in her eyes aren’t because of the gaping wound in her abdomen, but she never corrects that assumption.
OR: Sae-byeok wins the Squid Game, but surviving is just the first half of the battle.

———
Excerpt:Sangwoo ran a calloused hand across his tired face. “Fucking stupid game.”
“Fucking stupid game,” I parroted.
Minyeo sing-songed, “Fucking shitty game.”
Ali replaced the curse words with something more appropriate, “Horrible game.”
Saebyeok lightly muttered, “Shitty game.” Jiyeong enthusiatically said words of agreement.

Summary
A (mostly) normal slice of life fic of what happens after the Games in a world where all the main characters lived (don't ask how I have no idea lmao it probably won't be explained)
Everyone lives together as a family of sorts but they all still have their own things they need to deal with and also are trying to come to terms with what happened to them and why
Sang-woo's trying to start a business, Gi-hun's trying to figure out more about the Games and who made them, Ali's trying to get his family back...and Sae-byeok and Ji-yeong are kinda falling in love with each other very adorably
Also might have Sangihun I haven't decided yet I'm still figuring out how to write Sang-woo in a relationship lmao
Also I'm 17 and this is my first squid game fic so don't expect something super deep lmao I'm kind of figuring out the story as I go
I'll try to update at least once every two weeks but I am notoriously inconsistent a chapter might take me 2 days to write or 2 months so yeah

Sang-woo hasn't been himself for years, and once and for all, and time after time he’s found death to be his only answer. And after years in the making, he almost succeeds. And once again, he wakes up to see another day. Unlike the other times, though, he has friends who care for him, who love him, and are too stubborn to let him go.

Summary
“Did I say something wrong?”
“I’m so sorry, Sae-byeok.”
Sae-byeok frowned. “You idiot. I asked you to kill me, why would you be sorry?”
Sangwoo’s shoulders shook, and Sae-byeok’s eyes widened.
“Hey, hey, old man… Come on… What happened to – fuck, what did Gi-hun say… – to the pride of Ssangmun-dong?”
“He disappointed everyone who has ever trusted him.”
---
Cho Sangwoo is dead. Kang Sae-byeok and Ali Abdul are, too. This is why the three meet; it starts with tears, and ends with hugs, jokes and reassurance. Maybe it's not all so bad, after all.

"I'm not a horse. I'm a person." Gihun says into the phone.
Jiyeong runs up ahead so that she's facing Gihun, "We know, buddy, calm down…" she says, her voice worried. Saebyeok is next to Gihun, is staring at him fiercely as if trying to guess what he's thinking.
"He's not going to… you know?" Ali asks, his eyes still trained on the elder.
Sangwoo gulps, clenching his fists. Gihun wouldn't… he wouldn't… right?
Sangwoo, Ali, Saebyeok and Jiyeong react to Gihun turning back.

Summary
Sangwoo wasn’t the romantic type. Anyone could attest to this.
In fact, nobody has ever even seen him be affectionate, nevermind romantic. Even with his friends, the only signs of affection were soft smiles and happy nods. Any form of touching, like hugs, was out of the question. He was bad with emotions, he was bad with reassurance, he was just… there.
Sangwoo sometimes felt like he was just there, in the background, while all of his friends were happily in relationships, with Gi-hun cheering them on.
Well… all besides one.
But he was out of the question, wasn’t he? He was way too… different from Sangwoo. Of course, they got along – they really did! – but the older was still hesitant that he could like him back.
Oh. Okay, yeah, there it goes. Here you go, I guess – Sangwoo liked him.
He really, really, really liked Ali.

Summary
"All of them..?"
"Well, not all of them if you can't. Just the ones that haunt you the most. Start with them."
---------------------
Basically, Gi-hun starts seeing a therapist after he gets fed up with the fact that he keeps hearing and seeing the other contestants in his dreams.
He couldn't tell her about the games, of course. We all saw what happened the last time he did. So he just tells her that he watched people die and allowed her to assume he served in the army.
She recommends he write letters to those who plagued his memories. He does.
(takes place some time before he decides to book a ticket to LA)
