You move to Philly all by your lonesome, and you need a job. You've got a shitty little rat-infested apartment in south Philly, and you've got enough saved up to spend a little time perusing the streets for a job, but not much. You’re inspecting a not-completley-moth-eaten couch you spotted in an alley when a strange, scruffy little white man, followed by an older, balder, fatter white man, poke their heads out of the nearby dumpster and offer you a job. You become the sort of right-hand woman to Charlie, assistant rat-basher, if you will. It’ll pay the bills, but you find yourself somehow endeared by this gang of fools, especially your toilet scrubbing buddy, most interestingly. Along the way maybe you teach them a thing or two about how to be a little less asshole-ish and a little more politically correct - but not a lot, you’re not god.
Also, Thing 1 and Thing 2 from the alley happen to be your upstairs neighbors, so would ya look at that.
