Summary
"Oh, you sweet creature."
He’s dreaming about some maiden he’s in love with, Iago guessed sourly. It was most likely about Bianca, a resident of the village nearby. Iago had seen the woman following Cassio around in the streets, doting upon him like a puppy. It was sickening. Iago hadn't realized that Cassio returned Bianca's feelings.
"No one can know... let's keep our love a secret."
Cassio was now sighing longingly in his sleep. Iago carefully adjusted the position of his arms to be more comfortable and draped Cassio's cloak over him. Lulled by the lapping waves and the warm body resting on his chest, Iago began to drift off to sleep. Just as he was tipping over the brink of unconsciousness, he heard one more dreamy utterance from Cassio, something so quiet that he couldn’t tell if it was real or imagined.
"I love you, Iago."

Summary
Iago gasps for air, his brain and body feeling fried and frozen. “You are bold, Cassio.” He says, without moving away. But is he wrong? Iago had dealt with homosexual attractions, but he had pushed them aside. They were the inventions of a lonely mind at war, surrounded by great men. It is his Christian duty to marry a woman, to love Emilia. He should find thrill with her, and not feel his heart skip beats with the lips of a man pressed to his neck.
“Perhaps I am,” Cassio hums, considering. “Fortune favors the bold, does she not? Dear Iago?”

You know that part in Othello when Iago gives Othello "situational evidence" that Desdemona is cheating on him with Cassio? What if Iago wasn't making it up? This is his personal little journal entry.

Summary
'“Oh,” Cassio breathed and then repeated lowly, “oh.” Iago sunk even deeper into the bed, hoping the world might be kind enough to kill him. As much as he feared the depths of hell, he certainly feared this conversation more. A quiet chuckle from Cassio dragged him out of his depressing thoughts. “Normally you finish sooner.”'

Summary
“Sweet Iago, let’s be careful and hide our love!”
Iago gasped when he first heard his name spoken from the lieutenants mouth he watched intently as Cassio continued,
“Damn fate for giving you to Emilia!”
Iago’s heart beat faster than it ever did before, how could someone else love me?
Iago was sweating up a flood as he continued to keep his eyes on the beautiful man holding him in a tight grasp.Or
What if Iago’s story about sharing a bed with Cassio was true but he called out Iago’s name instead of Desdemonas. ;)

Summary
Iago did not expect to be placed into the tentative hands of Michael Cassio following his destruction of Othello. He cannot find it in himself to object, not for Cassio to banter as if nothing happened.

Iago shut his eyes. He wondered why the Lord had to have been so cruel; why, at that moment, he had to have lain wanting Michael Cassio.

Summary
“What an awful thing,” Iago says, cutting in when Cassio trails off. “Othello must have gone absolutely crazy, taking both of… Well, both of their lives.”
(Absolutely crazy, Iago says, and the memory of the weight of a gun in his hand flickers through the forefront of his mind. Emilia screams.)
-
Emilia dies too soon. Iago reaps the benefits of being one of two men left standing.

Summary
“Fine, keep your mouth shut. Suits you better anyway.” Cassio grinds his teeth, looks at Iago and hopes that he’s as threatening as he feels he is. He’s not had enough practice in authority. People in authority aren’t meant to trust very easily. Not anymore, at least.
-
Cassio thinks back to the friends that only live in his memories now, and wants to pry Iago's mouth open with pliers.

Summary
"Four missed calls. The notifications flashed across the phone’s small screen as he picked it up from the couch onto which it had been angrily flung. Cassio, every time. Cassio, the looker, the rake, the right hand. The usurper. Puffed-up, arrogant, self-important wanker--! But. He had called. Four times. Called him four times, and that in itself was anachronistic enough to give him pause. He could see no reason for such desperate seeking of contact. Their work was done: Othello’s farce of a marriage...dealt with; Brabantio powerless and in a right strop. The newlyweds off shagging somewhere before the tour, warming up to the music of groans and bodies joined in unholy communion, playing the swan song to their hideous love in this place, this time, this life. Roderigo gulled, driven to the brink of madness by the twin flames of elation and the passion of his own stupidity, buoyed up on the rising smoke of hopes no more substantial than sparks, bringing destruction in their effervescent glory before fading to nothing ere one could say they lightened. Cassio...well. Cassio, sitting like Patience on a monument, smiling at grief-- his grief. Holding his place. Owning the piece of-- no. That mattered not."
