Summary
In an alternate universe where Morgoth cursed all the descendants of Míriel and their followers to be vampires and the descendants of Indis and their followers to be werebeasts, the rebellious Ñoldor have been forced to live in Beleriand for six hundred seventy six years and honor an uneasy truce that Manwë made with Melkor to preserve Arda. Now making his way in the modern world and using old magic to improve new technology, Caranthir believes that his younger brother Curufin has finally stumbled upon a way to break Morgoth's curse. There are only a few problems.
First: The cure requires an indeterminate number of Silmarils.
Two: Curufin, along with Celegorm, assaulted and attempted to kidnap Beren and Lúthien after they destroyed Tol-in-Gauroth and sent Sauron fleeing East, and they're currently two years into a ten year jail sentence.
Three: Ulmo might have forbidden Beren and Lúthien from attacking any more Úmaiarin fortresses, but he didn't say anything about Finrod Felagund, who just so happens to owe Beren's father a life debt.
Four: Finrod Felagund is Caranthir's ex-lover.

“You must know this", Melkor said, his piercing gaze pinning Mairon in place, cold like a cuff against his skin. “The pleasure I offer is great, but it comes with a price. I will not make this easy for you. I will not be gentle. I will not be kind. Do you understand?”
Mairon swallowed. “Yes, Master."
“No." Melkor's tone was sharp as a whip. “Do not say it unless you mean it. Unless you are willing to suffer for it."
Mairon is a burned-out PhD researcher with a messy apartment, a deteriorating relationship and co-workers that hate him. All this changes when he applies for funding from the infamous company Utumno. There he meets the enigmatic Melkor Bauglir, who awakes a part in Mairon that he did not even know existed.

In an alternate universe, Mandos' High School was created so that their students will learn some manners and be ready to face the workplace called Valinor. In one class, adviser Olorin was having trouble with his thirteen students who should have graduated already but WILL NOT LEAVE - Feanor and Fingolfin who would fight to determine who is Class President(it is Maedhros), Maedhros did not want to finish his volcano project, Maglor, who sings sad songs, Celegorm who is looking for his dog, Caranthir who just sleeps in class, Curufin who serves as Feanor's sidekick, Amrod and Amras who both play pranks, Fingon and Finrod who will not submit their work unless Maedhros does, Celebrimbor and Maeglin who went with the flow.
Gandalf just wanted them out already but he needs to figure out what can bring them out with passing marks in good manners and right conduct...he had an idea; a crazy (and terrible) idea and it will involve students that were forever placed in detention - Morgoth and his gang.
