Cal is really not sure how he got here. It’s not like he’s the chosen one. But, dank farrik he’s going to do his best—even if that means a few panic attacks and breakdowns along the way. Honestly though with his track record of running away and hiding from his enemies he’s not so sure how he will be of any help. How could a 10 year old stop a galactic war? At the very least he won’t let anyone die like he did. Maybe, that will be enough.

Something deep stirs within him, like he knows something he can’t quite put his finger on. Like he’s supposed to remember something—someone. It’s deep and foreboding but Cal can’t press beyond it. He knows he has to, but everything is so clear and vivid that his past-future seems like a faraway dream.

Summary
The Clone Wars have just begun. With the Jedi spread thin, 9 year old Cal Kestis doesn't have anyone to help him control his psychometry. With Jaro Tapal in too dangerous a situation to take on a padawan, he's sent to Obi-Wan Kenobi instead, much to the dismay of Anakin. However he and Cal will have to put aside their differences and work together in order to stay alive for the next battle of the Clone Wars.

A burning pain ignited in Cal’s stomach. He opened his eyes and came face to face with Darth Vader’s mask, the Sith’s red lightsaber buried to the hilt in Cal’s gut. BD-1 was gripping Cal’s trousers with one clawed foot, beeping out a high-pitched, frantic plea.
Right.
That’s why Cal wasn’t supposed to chase the rabbit. He knew that.

Cal Kestis can move backwards in time (kinda-sorta-not really), and his confrontation with Darth Vader in the Fortress Inquisitorius plays out a lot differently.
Fixing the timeline while stuck in his 10-year-old body will be quite the task, but Cal is up to it. He has to be.
(Obi-Wan, Anakin, and the clone troopers have no idea what to make of Kenobi's weird new padawan. At least the kid fits in, though.)
