Summary
When he had received the alert from the Marshal’s Service Neal’s tracker had stopped signaling, his heart had skipped a beat. After all, Neal Caffrey was a criminal and a con artist, an expert at lying while wearing a charming smile and presenting the picture-perfect image of innocence. Neal Caffrey, with his set of misguided morals and values, was impulsive and known to change the rules to fit his own narrative. So of course, when faced with being tethered to the anklet while Peter went off to play Section Chief in the DC sandbox, he would decide to cut his losses and disappear.

Summary
“Peter shook his head in disbelief. Not for the first time, he wondered how someone with so much talent could use their skills to con people out of their money and possessions. Maybe in a different life Neal could have been someone, some famous artist with his art hung in galleries across the world, art that was of his own originality and taste that spoke of the incredible mind that painted it, instead of illegal imitations. He supposed there was a little bit of Caffrey flair in each of the renditions he had done over the years, but Peter was interested in something one hundred percent Neal Caffrey, something authentic and unique, something the world had yet to see. Perhaps it wasn’t too late for Neal to change careers. With his skills, he could make it as an artist; Peter was sure of it. He just had to be willing to take that leap.”
It’s exactly what the title says. I just need more artist Neal in my life.

Summary
“Peter knelt down and caught him, pulling him back against his chest and trapping his head gently between his chest and hand to keep him from slipping to the floor. Neal slumped against him with no protest, too tired to move or care about the vulnerability of the gesture, relaxing ever so slightly at the steady thumping of the agent’s heart as Peter became the only thing that wasn’t sliding and tilting around him...”
A cold is just a cold and Peter isn’t worried until Neal manages get sopping wet and a lot more sick, calling for more from Peter than a ‘cowboy up’.

Summary
“...as humiliating and vulnerable as a strip search was, Peter could only imagine it would be ten times more so if it were performed by someone you’d have to face on a daily basis, not to mention someone that you respected and wanted to respect you.
No, he’d decided, when the day came he would not strip search Neal. Yet, here he was, beginning a two hour drive with a silent Neal Caffrey in the passengers seat— having done exactly that.
Peter swallowed down the bitter taste that dwelt on the back of his tongue, but couldn’t wash it away.”
Philip Kramer has a brutal lesson to teach Burke and his CI, the results of which leave Neal and Peter reeling and struggling to reconcile their odd partnership (though it just may leave them stronger in the end).
