Kanrik rounded the corner to see Hanso frantically doing the trick of stomping on the trash in a garbage can so you can fit more stuff in it. This was unusual because it was three in the morning and they were in an alleyway.

Summary
The year after Hanso became the hero of Faerieland, they tried to pass a law that would turn the poor invisible. It was ridiculous. They were, after all, already invisible. Trying to make it literal would be an expensive redundancy.
The artifact that turned the faeries to stone is stolen, and the investigation leads Hanso to go undercover in Brightvale's debtor's prison. It does not go well.
AUTHOR'S NOTE: Turns out, when you're writing a complex story with multiple POVs and flashbacks, you probably shouldn't wing it. Currently dormant as I try to clean this up and establish some sort of pacing.
AUTHOR'S NOTE AGAIN: The revamped version is now live under the title "Hanso Goes to Jail for Tax Evasion." This version will no longer be updated.

Now stranded in the world of Neopia, Sunset inadvertently frees a creature named Xandra from her stone prison, and forms an unlikely friendship — but the past, it seems, is not forgotten so easily.
