He didn’t want to wake him, so he lay there, looking outside, grateful for the safety he was engulfed in. He was in a lot of pain. He played back the previous evening. “You’re doing it again,” Kasuga said, towel wrapped around his waist, hair still damp. The Hawaii sun has been doing wonders to him. A nice deep tan, the slightest hint of freckles around his nose. Compared to how sickly Kiryu felt sometimes with his hair silver and face sunken in he thought it was ironic. In some ways Kasuga was the complete opposite of him. He was shining brighter now than he ever had in his life, while Kiryu's flame was already barely hanging on.
“Doing what?”
“Thinking way too much. You furrow your brows like you are going to war or something,” Kasuga said, making his point clear by kissing the same spot again.
