“Hey, Koutarou,” Yukie says, smiling up at him.
“Mm?”
“Tell me more about who’s pretty,” she says, humouring him.
Bokuto lights up. “You’re pretty, Yukippe,” he announces, which makes Yukie laugh in that way of lolling fondness, amused affection and eyes with crinkled up corners. “You too, Kuroo!” he exclaims, and then Kuroo goes whoa because Bokuto upsets the delicate equilibrium they’ve managed on their rickety bar stools by releasing his beer and throwing his arms around both of them at the same time, but with some quick hands and the support of a structurally questionable bartop, they manage to right themselves before they all topple over.
Kuroo should probably remember to stop letting Bokuto have any drinks when they go out. In his defence, Yukie was there this time too, so she's at least fifty percent at fault. They love Bokuto one hundred percent, though, so he thinks it balances out.
