The Grand Sorcerer Eiden is dead.
A fraud, a shameless charlatan who manipulated his clansmen for his own gain. His death is seen as the end of the disaster. It was no wonder that the people soon whispered nothing but anger and contempt at his name.
Now, he is condemned as a heartless demon—nothing more than a deceitful harlot who seduced others for personal power.
The people celebrate his demise.

Summary
Eiden has been toughing it out on his own for as long as he can remember. He has grown from a sad and lonely little girl into a slightly less sad and lonely man, and he has done it with nothing but his own resilience. He couldn’t rely on the parents who abandoned him, or the teachers who always looked the other way, or the families who left him to rot in the orphanage. He has learned, through a life of struggling just to make it to another tomorrow, that he cannot rely on anyone but himself.
And then Eiden goes and ends up in Klein; a world with entirely different laws, languages, lifeforms, everything. He doesn't know jack from shit. All he has is this weird magical gem seared into his flesh, a nonsensical mission thrust upon him due to said magical gem, and two guys who won't stop calling him their Master. Eiden will readily admit that the last part is pretty awesome, but constantly getting jumped by grotesque monsters and not even being able to read? Not so much.
If he wants to make it through all of this shit alive, he’s going to have to learn to be okay with relying on others. Fending for himself is all he’s ever known, though– what the fuck is he supposed to do when he can't even do that?

Rei agreed to play detective with Blade and wear an outfit he provided— really, it was a small price to pay to get closer to the e-droid— but he didn’t think that Blade would insist on helping him change into it.
“Little Chick, you’re going to look super cute in this~” Blade hummed, unclipping the gold chain on Rei’s cape before sliding it off his shoulders. Rei had protested, he wasn’t a child, he could dress himself, but Blade was determined to help— even if that meant this whole process took significantly longer than it would have if he handed Rei the clothes and sent him on his way.

This will (hopefully) turn into a bunch of fics where each chapter is a oneshot based on a Blade Rei story moment that made me think 'wow they have definitely explored each other's bodies' -

Summary
Staying here would mean Eiden would miss Kleinmas in Aster’s mansion with everyone. Eiden had gone through the trouble of sending invitations to every clan member, then asking in person anyway. And if Yakumo had had any doubts about *everyone* showing up, last year had proved him wrong.
Keeping Eiden here would be bliss and comfortable, and Eiden himself is suggesting they stay, if Yakumo isn’t feeling up to the small journey. By all means, the festive season has just had a wonderful turn in his favour.
But he can’t be that selfish with Eiden. Not like this, not now.
Not ever, maybe.
In which Eiden and Yakumo head out when they probably shouldn't have. The festive season can send anyone into a frenzy, but next time, try taking a pause?

In the end, this is how the list ends up being the not-very-secret topic of conversation. Blade hasn’t quite managed the art of confidentiality, and Garu didn’t make him promise, therefore by the end of the following day, every person on the list is aware of where they sit.

Eiden’s made a list (and probably checked it twice), deciding which clan members (and familiars) are naughty or nice. Everyone has a theory about what it all means. In the end, Quincy is more than happy to fill both roles as long as Eiden’s willing to join him.

Living with Master Eiden and attending adventures with him had done wonders to get Edmond out of his terrifying comfort zone. It had been nearly three years since the worst day of his entire life, but the others, brimming with essence and positivity, had yanked him out of that dark place and brought him into the light they radiated.
However, due to his soul gemstone being completely severed that day, Edmond still frequently dealt with essence regulation issues. And today seemed to be no different.

Summary
Both Yakumo and Garu are teary as they hug each other. Olivine places a hand on Eiden’s head, closes his eyes, and speaks a blessing over him. It does little to boost Eiden’s mood, but at the very least, he feels a sense of calm. He risks a glance back at Edmond as they set out, but his expression is now unreadable. He’s masking whatever his worries are by projecting his Vice-Captain aura. Eiden turns to face forward and head into whatever lies before them.

A strange chasm has opened up in the desert. When Eiden and a few of the others head there to investigate, things don’t go as planned. One by one, the clan members are trapped in illusions that prey on their greatest fears. With Aster and Morvay as his guides, Eiden must step into their nightmares in order to rescue them and defeat the one who ensnared them.

Olivine’s footsteps echo in the quiet hallway. He’s late, but he moves slowly anyway, procrastinating on his arrival at Yakumo’s room. It’s been weeks since he last joined the others for an overnight. Weeks since he’s been able to face any of them other than Yakumo himself, outside of occasional meals when everyone is together.
