It’s only when Simon tries to use his hands to pull his own hair away that he begins to understand the gravity of the situation. He looks down to find that the black locks in his hands have been delicately and painstakingly intertwined with lavender. He feels at the tiny braids, as if to ensure they’re real and that this isn’t some horrible dream.
After a moment, he finally confirms that his and Nahyuta’s hair has been intricately woven together. And it isn’t going to be easily undone anytime soon.
(Or, Athena Cykes avenges her pasta salad leftovers and inadvertently plays wingwoman.)
