Summary
Leah Rilke and Fatin Jadmani were childhood friends until they were in 6th grade. They didn't have a fallout or anything but Fatin's parents got divorced and she was moving with her mom.
Fatin changed her last name to her mother's maiden name, leaving her father in the past. She also became a famous musician (singing and cello) with Toni, Dot, and Martha. She then moved back with her friends her senior year of high school hoping to see a certain Rilke.
Leah didn't really change except that she grew a lot, when they were children Fatin use to be taller now she was 3 inches taller. She made new friends; Shelby, Rachel and Nora. She was still as always a quiet girl who almost always had her nose stuffed in a book and she also liked to write on the side. She always hoped though that one day she would see Fatin again.

This book starts when they are 6. Basically Leatin x Winnie the Pooh. Comment any suggestions you have for the story. Slow updates.

Summary
Toni knocked on Shelby’s bedroom window, looking around on high alert to make sure none of the neighbors - or godforbid any of the other Goodkinds - saw her.
She nearly fell back and broke every bone in her body when it was Dot that slid the window open with a raised eyebrow and a “What the fuck.”

Summary
"Her fingers were bleeding as they continued to run up and down the strings, mindlessly playing the piece that she’d been practicing for the last month, trying to follow the complicated note patterns even as she winced against the sting of the strings. It wasn’t perfect, she had to keep going, had to keep trying because if she stopped she’d be disappointing everyone. Her parents saw her when she was good at this, they thought she was worth something… but when she stopped? God, Fatin didn’t want to think of what would happen if she stopped. She’d become completely irrelevant… and even if irrelevancy would give her more wiggle room to stay out late and hang out with her friends, she didn’t want the only reason her parents still paid attention to her to go away…"
Fatin and Leah have gone to the same school for their whole high school careers, but they've never spoken, not really. And Fatin never thinks of Leah because... why should she? Except Leah is the only person who bothers to see her... so maybe she should look her way a lot more often.
Basically canon divergent look into Leatin precanon and a deep explanation into Fatin's trauma because I've always felt that it's heavily overlooked

Summary
They had been back at school, back in the real world where everyone was pretending that 16 kids hadn't been put through hell, for a week when Fatin came striding across the courtyard at lunchtime with that familiar, determined look in her eyes. Just the sight of her was enough to let Leah breathe a little easier.
"Wanna get out of here?" Fatin holds one hand out and shifts her weight, nervous. Leah's grin grows and for a moment all she sees is an equally nervous Fatin standing at the door to their room in the bunker, asking Leah to get away from it all for a while. Leah's answer comes as fast and as sure as it did then.
"Absolutely."
Or
Leah and Fatin, after all is said and done, decide that maybe it's okay to be a little messed up, as long as they have each other to remind them of what's real.

Summary
“So, like, I’m kind of mid shark week right now, and I was in a total rush this morning packing my fucking cello, so,” Fatin chatted as if they were old friends or something. Perhaps this was just how girls spoke to eachother; Leah had little interaction outside of Ian. “Can I borrow a tampon?”
Based on the Amazon notes letting us know that Leah's only verbal exchange with Fatin -prior to the island- was to 'borrow a tampon'.
