The day Barty had killed himself was a bright, sunny one.
It was morbid to think about. Sickening, really.
Regulus specifically remembers waking up because Evan had forgotten to close the curtain before bed, leading the light from the morning sun to shine directly in Regulus’s eyes. The sun-targeted of the two boys had thrown his pillow at the other, beckoning him to close the curtain himself. It took another pillow for the oaf to get up, another 13 seconds for him to block the sunlight from Regulus’s visage, and another 24 for Regulus to be disturbed by Evan’s yelling from the bathroom.
It took Regulus 4 seconds to get to Evan’s side.
Another 8 to process the issue.
