Summary
"When this is over," Ponyboy says, his tongue heavy in his mouth, "Or if things don't go right, I love you, Dally. No matter what."
Dallas, beneath the stars, with his dark hair a mess above his eyes, shakes his head. "Pony, I'm not gonna let you go to the fucking - to the jail house, if you lose. I'm not." There's an odd determined glow to his eyes as Ponyboy runs his fingers through his hair. "Jail — I know jail would turn Johnny into something else. If you went in — "
"If I went in, I wouldn't blame nobody. Not as long as you're there for me," the words are drowsy, heavy and he doesn't want to talk about it anymore. "I love you, Dally. That's what matters."
September, 1965 — Johnny and Dallas live. That doesn't make things any easier for Ponyboy, not with his omega dynamic singling him out, his best friend dealing with life long injuries now, his family life still a tightrope he has to navigate, a court case on the horizon that will decide his fate, and his growing, mutual attraction to Dallas Winston getting stronger by the day.
What he doesn't know is that more people are in his corner than he thinks. And that maybe, things will be okay.

Summary
There is a Shadow World, like our own but different, existing alongside ours but never touching. Some people call it the world of dreams, but it is as real as anything else....
Tulsa, 1967. It's the last spring break before Ponyboy goes to college. He's got more worries than what he thought he'd have, including his relationship with Dallas Winston. All he wants to do is have one last party before he goes to a future he's more than earned.
Too bad that the boardgame he brought to the party is not just a boardgame. It's a matter of life and death, to play against Julian. And it's not just Ponyboy who's a player in this game, but the whole gang, or what's left of it. They just have to survive their own nightmares, one by one and hope they'll all wake up in the morning, the victors.

Summary
The flowers in Ponyboy's hair makes him resemble those hippies that Angela saw on television or saw in magazines, his hair so long that he could almost be mistaken for one of those people — except he has no message about Vietnam, has no words coming out of his mouth talking about a guru and she's starting to believe a snake would look at home with him.

Summary
There's a fascination to Ponyboy's gaze whenever Dallas does something that he deems very human, whether it be the small signals of Dallas' oncoming ruts or cutting his fingernails or recently, shaving his facial hair until it's more manageable if not gone; those things seem to fascinate him endlessly, tracking whenever they happen with surprise and interest that is more than odd for Dallas.
Fifty moments, before, during, and after Dallas' wrongful imprisonment on the wettest, loneliest asteroid out there.

Summary
He'd thought the same thing at eighteen years old, after all, when his parents had died and he had only been eighteen years old for a few hours. Things hadn't borne out that way — but he wasn't eighteen anymore, now was he? He was twenty-three now, with a steady job, with a pack who cared about him, and with as much money as he'd been able to save, waiting for his brother to come back by any means.
He repeats, "I can handle it."
June, 1968. Darry Curtis receives a call that his youngest brother, Ponyboy, has been found again. He drives to the station in Oklahoma City to get him back that June, eager to be reunited with his baby brother who was taken from him.
He's not sure, when his eyes fall on him, that the person sitting on that bench really is Ponyboy. Perhaps it's a cuckoo wearing his face, imitating his movements, using his eyes. Or maybe a single mistake in the past has now changed their current present in ways that Darry has not expected.

"I hated sleeping in that jail cell," his voice comes through softly, Dallas only able to see the movement of Ponyboy's lips as they lie still, waiting for the Shepards to get back, "I cried for Soda for the first week until I made myself sick."
Ponyboy gets sent to the reformatory. Things do not go as planned. Glimpse into an AU where things go wrong, in fifty ways.

Summary
"I don't wanna go back home, Johnny. I — I just wanna run away from here."
Johnny had plead with him not to, hours ago. He'd tried to talk to Ponyboy over the phone at the prison, his eyes huge, his form already small enough from being in there for months now. "I thought you said things were getting better, Ponyboy? C'mon, you can't leave — you ain't been an omega for a year, you could get in real trouble out there."
Ponyboy decides that he has a choice: to stay in Tulsa or to leave. Darry makes the choice easy.

Summary
The point was that on SEH-1965, rain was always happening, always just around the corner. The periods where no rain occurred were sparse, almost entirely gone within a blink of an eye and in the middle of it, Dallas had been put there to serve out his sentence of fifty years entirely alone.
Dallas Winston thinks about his time on the asteroid and his time off — and the person he misses most. Which isn't, in this case, Johnny Cade.

It's not until Dallas freezes in the shop center that Johnny becomes worried for what happened on the asteroid. He's never seen Dallas freeze like this before, has never seen his eyes linger on androids before.
Johnny Cade wonders what happened to his partner, Dallas Winston, during his jail sentence on a lonely asteroid. He's not quite prepared for the breakdown that follows or that just maybe, Dallas' heart remains on that lonely rock in space.

Summary
"Dallas Winston is evil," Mr. Cade says, his voice clear in the throng of reporters in front of him, all of their mics pointed towards his grieving face, their cameras taking in the image of Johnny's smiling school photo, held in his mother's hands, "He took our son from us in the most barbaric way and we will not rest, God help us, until he is found! He took — he took him, and he could have taken Ponyboy Curtis to the same end!"

Summary
"Cherry," Ponyboy remembers her clearly, before everything else. The shade of red hair on her that was brilliant even in their circumstances, the look on her face that he'd taken for friendship and not politeness, the red stain on her cheeks when she'd been sobbing in the funeral home on her side. "Cherry Valance. She's been in a couple of pictures, and they're trying to set her up. They want her on my movie and I can't — I can't have her in that role, Mene. Not when I wrote it about Johnny."
Christmas 1943. Ponyboy talks to his oldest brother about his misgivings over a role that Cherry Valance, the newest blazing star in Hollywood, is set to take.
His objection is rather personal.

Summary
"I don’t know if you ought to be in this rumble, Pony," Darry says slowly, his eyes focused on Ponyboy.
For the first time in a long time, mortal fear grips Ponyboy at those words. He can feel it wash over himself, the need to be in the rumble to be with everyone else, to whip the Socs. He feels smaller, younger than them all again and tries to stand up from the couch. "How come? I've always come through before, ain't I?"
Ponyboy misses the rumble. Dallas does too — for other reasons.

Summary
He hadn't bet on a fire, and he hadn't bet on Ponyboy rushing in first and Johnny after him. All he'd done was follow them to the fire moments after, cursing out Ponyboy and Johnny both, trying to pull them out of the inferno before them, not caring what it took, not caring about those damn kids in the face of his boyfriend and his packmate.
He'd pulled Johnny out of the window, right as there had been a crack, and a groan and then Ponyboy screaming for him.
The beam doesn't hit Johnny. It hits Ponyboy instead.

Summary
The jar of orange juice lands down heavily on the table, making Johnny jump in his seat, tearing his eyes away from his paper to focus on Katie fully. Moments like these remind him of the fact she's a Mathews, with the intense way she's looking at him, with a smile on her face that's humorous yet tinged with something a little menacing to it, her eyebrow cocked just like her brother's. "C'mon, Johnny. Your hot girlfriend is sitting up here calling herself a hag and all you have to say is maybe? What is going on?"
Johnny makes a call in the Spring of 1983 that accelerates the destruction of his relationship with Ponyboy and Dallas, and makes him come to terms with his own morality.
