Choi Yeonjun, a famous K-pop solo artist and alpha, has always stayed true to himself, remaining single despite numerous omega admirers. Two years ago, he disappeared from the public eye, shocking fans and the industry. Now, he returns with a fresh winter-themed album for the holiday season, and his popularity continues to soar. However, it's clear he's more guarded than before, haunted by past events.
Choi Soobin, an average beta, lives a quiet, mundane life—far removed from the fame of stars like Yeonjun. Encouraged by his therapist to expand his social circle, he tries to make friends at work, but struggles. That is, until his best friend Beomgyu introduces him to Choi Yeonjun, claiming they are childhood friends.
But no one—least of all Yeonjun and Soobin—are prepared for the way that Yeonjun's alpha is immediately attracted to Soobin's beta. Yeonjun desperately tries to get the seemingly-oblivious beta's attention with awkward pick-up lines and flirty double entendres (to a winter wonderland backdrop), to no fruition. Soobin is not interested in anything the alpha has to offer...but it has nothing to do with Yeonjun, and everything to do with the secrets he's keeping.

For some reason, that hurts. He understands what Yeonjun is trying to say, but something about those words still prick and poke at something inside of Soobin that’s eager to hurt. Something that wants to find anything to ache over.
He wants it to matter. He wants Yeonjun to want him because he’s a beta, not in spite of it.

Yeonjun is a man with a mission: find someone who he can mate without the help from the council alphas. He knows his own duty to the pack he will soon lead and knows how important it is to find a reliable mate to help him eradicate the prejudice against betas and omegas their pack has.
He knows this is dangerous and that he is almost without time. It's the last day of the mating season and yet Yeonjun decides to put a mask on and act as a guard to investigate the bail’s guests and know their real personas.
Yeonjun can only hope the gods will have mercy on him and lead him to a good mate.
Or Yeonjun is the future head alpha of the pack and he needs to find a mate asap. Everyone expected him to find an omega, but the alpha falls for an endearing beta who was there just for the food.
