“A replacement?” I frowned, my pacing coming to an abrupt halt. I fear I had been spoiled, Jeeves treated me like a king compared to my prior valet, who was enough of a scoundrel to steal my own socks. I was frankly scared.
“Good heavens, Jeeves, where on Earth is anyone supposed to find someone of your caliber?”
“I have taken the liberty of requesting one from the Junior Ganymede.” Jeeves replied. “They are all familiar with your needs and I am sure the agency will find an adequate man to support your needs.”
“Adequate?” I repeated, my frown deepening. “Doesn’t sound very promising, Jeeves. You know I’m not good with change.”
“Indeed, sir,” Jeeves said, his tone betraying a faint hint of amusement. “I trust you will adapt.”
And with that, Jeeves had departed, leaving old Bertie with a sense of unease that only grew when his replacement arrived later that afternoon.

To help with his mental recovery, Bingo Little sends for their mutual friend, Neil Bishop. Neil and Bertie had an understanding a long time ago, and Neil's familiarity with Bertie won't be well received by Jeeves.We will explore more of Bertie's secret friend and past as Jeeves slowly but surely finds confidence in his own feelings.
