Summary
Following most of the main plot points of the 2022 movie, Ebenezer Scrooge works for Mr. Fezziwig and falls in love with Isabel, but when seeking money and security, and finding no hope in the struggling economy of London, Ebenezer goes out for a drink. Marley offers to pay the young man for acts of pleasure, and in doing so, Marley offers Ebenezer a job as long as he is Marley's sugar baby and promises it won't affect his relationship with Isabel. However, feelings start to grow between the two men and Ebenezer now has to struggle with his emotions and ultimately decide who to choose in the end.

But Jacob watched them with a bittersweet longing as they continued their conversation, talking late into the night. He finally turned and left, hoping that Scrooge would find the same happiness that he had always wanted. The one he knew he could not have.
