When Carlos de Vil witnessed a scary scene at the Hades' Club, he considered joining his cousin, Diego, off the Island. It didn't calm him down to discover that his best friend, Jay, was running with the Pirates. With the help of Hades, he struck a deal to get Jay off the Island and supervise his little siblings. Though the price of Hades' kindness isn't free, the Immortal god knows how to hold someone to their word.
Prince Ben is not only the youngest of his siblings but also lives in the shadow of his parents, the King of Auradon. He must learn how to operate on his own two feet as the Prince of the Kingdom and the youngest in one of the Kingdom's oldest crime syndicate families, the Delacroix. His focus is turned upside down when he meets a little Hybrid with black and white hair working as an 'entertainer' run by the family of Hades himself.

She didn’t know what she had been expecting, but it was something along the lines of chaos.
Instead, however, the teenagers had actually relatively followed the rules set in place by Belle and Adam.
Sure, there were some moments when they acted like, well, villains, but for the most part they behaved.
They all had their quirks, of course; Jay was extremely aggressive, especially when something or someone came in between him and his friends. Carlos was terrified of dogs, in a way that was honestly kind of concerning. Evie was..well, she wasn’t sure about Evie—for the most part, she seemed to be the most docile member of the group, but there were moments where she was even angrier than Jay(and had sent Chad to the hospital, but she’d think about that more later).
And then there was Mal.
Mal was…quiet.
Oddly quiet, but, from what she’s seen, only when around adults.
Any time she sees an adult, she just…shuts down.
She’s perfectly still, perfectly straight, perfectly silent.
It was as if she was trying to make herself invisible.

While saving Ben from the Pirates on the rescue of Mal, they make a quick escape and then realize that they left Carlos behind. With so much press on them, they can't immediately return to save Carlos like the Prince wants. Months later, while Ben is left alone with his emotions, he takes the rescue into his own hands.Carlos never wanted to set foot on the Isle again. He never thought that Harry Hook would be the one he would take solace in. He has never felt so wanted the way Harry and Gil have made him feel. Harry has to put all his energy into protecting him, even when a certain villain now running the Isle catches wind of it. Carlos' biggest want was not to be face-to-face with his parents.
Harry has always wanted a shipmate. He hadn't thought it would be the runt in Mal's crew. Harry enjoyed keeping Carlos warm at night and looking after him for a month. When the Prince of Auradon took away his Mutt, only one thing was on Harry and Gil's minds... revenge.

The Villian Kids on the Isle of the Lost don't have a lot, they were born into this world at a disadvantage. When Prince Ben is allowed to make a Royal Decree it is to save the VKs. It took a couple of years but every six months four VKs are given a chance to prove themselves. Ben had no idea just how involved he would be in this program.
Carlos De Vil has had a rough childhood, his boyfriend broke up with him, and a traumatic thing happened to him all before he went to Auradon. He has to deal with his trauma, attention from the kingdom and some cute boys, and trying to figure out who he will be in Auradon. As if he didn't have enough on his plate, he doesn't know why his tummy keeps getting bigger and bigger.
