Summary
Retribution is the name for this hyena, who is rescued from living a life in the wildebeest gorge and taken into Shenzi's Clan to become what his biological father and mother wanted him to become. But as memories of what led to Jeyluxhal into being who he was today returned to his mind and revealed what he had forgotten, he finds himself battling the greatest battles that lie within. The Circle of Life means little to the hyena, who as a pup, had watched his mother be ripped apart to pieces in front of his eyes and that whom his father had loved is taken from him. Baridi, the leader of his Pride of Outlanders and his associates are on the son of Tabari and the murdered Najira's hit list; but as retribution slowly becomes poisoned by turning into a form of revenge, the strain of the unstable mentality and the dark side of the lion's mind games threaten to strip him of his friends who are worried for him, his father who taught him and even the wildcat who loved him. The mind games of the flamingo Pazia, the animals who don't take his ambiguous disorder or his feelings seriously and the inner feral side that was born on the day his innocence was taken from him forever, but there's more than what meets the eye in this tale
