LA was enjoying a respite from hot weather and surprisingly from murders. It looked like an all-time low in the homicide rate. That was a good thing for the people of LA, but it was a problem for the members of the LAPD’s homicide division. Not that they really wanted their fellow Angelenos offing each other, but paperwork got really old really fast.
Detective Trainee Chloe Decker has to go undercover at a local gym because the LAPD has been asked to help the FDA and CBP look into... counterfeit dietary supplements trafficking. Yeah, that's not what she thought she'd be investigating when she was promoted to work in the LAPD's Homicide Division.

Ever since Rory had insisted that Lucifer and Chloe had needed to separate in order for their daughter to grow up as the time-traveling angel who would reveal to Lucifer his ultimate purpose in hell, they had pined for each other… and though Lucifer experienced years for every month Chloe experienced, her pain was not less than his. And it was all based on a lie anyway. Michael’s daughter Roravindha had pretended to be Aurora Morningstar in order to isolate Chloe and Trixie from Lucifer, sabotaging their bid for happiness, and causing Lucifer to refuse godhood.
