After the events in Vollachia, Subaru agrees to Al's request and sets off for the Pleiades Watchtower, intending to stay for three days. However, before he even reaches his destination, his companions begin acting bizarrely. Emilia grows overly attached to him, whispering strange ideas about running away together. Garfiel turns unusually cold toward him, Beatrice, his cherished contract spirit, suddenly despises him, and Reinhard, along with several others, seem intent on killing him. Once again, it's up to Subaru to figure out how to make sense of the situation and bring his allies back to their senses.
