When Bella's mom and her new husband have a new baby things get a little tight in their too small two bedroom home. She's a few years shy of getting her bachelors but she can't afford to move into the dorms and her mom can't afford to move from her step-dad's job in the city. With no other choice Bella packs up her things and transfers to Peninsula College, located in the small dreary town of Forks, WA, to live with her dad. She's not exactly happy about moving away from her mom and brother, and her warm Arizona sun. But she moves anyway, arriving as a string of murders reach town limits and other new arrivals bring about secrets that only she seems to notice or care to uncover.
