“…When I was walking home,” he starts, and his voice cracks so stupidly and yet Toya just looks at him with gentle curiosity. He takes a breath, “I got the pancakes. And some fuckin’ kid came up to me, and…” his voice wobbles, “said I shouldn’t have it, ‘cause I’m fat.”
Toya visibly winces at the word, expression crumbling after a moment of processing. Akito can’t help feeling guilty– he causes problems no matter what, doesn’t he? His gaze falls to the floor, waiting for his partner to formulate whatever his response will be.
A moment passes. Another, and there’s a soft, gentle, “Oh, Akito…”

Sick from Endeavor’s abuse, Shouto attempts to run away to escape the hellhole of his house. He meets Akito instead and, under the fake identity as Aoyagi Toya, Shouto partners up with the young singer to form BAD Dogs, and later, Vivid BAD SQUAD. This is Shouto’s journey as he faces the challenges of keeping his identity as a singer a secret and deals with the chaotic Class A, all while amassing millions of VBS fans. And who knows? Maybe acquiring a boyfriend is also on the list!
Or: The author got obsessed with how alike Toya and Shouto are and proceeded to create a disaster crossover fanfic to fulfill their fantasies because no one else did it. And they also went c-r-a-z-y over vbs songs while writing this.

Things are different, bad. They’ve already been on this bus for ten minutes more than they were supposed to be; an accident and a closed road has led to traffic that seems to run through the entirety of Shibuya, and being on a different route means he can’t easily tell how much longer it will take like he usually can. Plus, with the traffic and changed route the bus keeps abruptly stopping and starting, and he knows he can only ignore the growing nausea for so long.
But… he can push all that to the back of his mind. He’s fine. He can focus on his book until they get to the practice studio– the four of them have a show in a week, and they’d rented out a space to have equipment more similar to the venue, thanks to An’s connections.
Ignoring the discomfort is easy enough. His state hasn’t reached a breaking point. It wont, he’ll make sure it doesn’t.
