In this au, a Drenchen family of three, Domir, Ameela and their daughter Amir have to hide their secret of being slick thieves while living amongst the most significant of gelfling within the Drenchen tribe. Maudra Laesid, her husband Bellanji and her children in Olyeka Staba. When Domir gets caught stealing from a high ranking soldier, the rest of the family have to figure out a way to rescue him. Chaos unfolds as one problem leads to another, and the three have to decide whether a family tradition such as their own is worth it.
