Of course he never did, or not yet; the child barely got in elementary school.
That explained the sharp smell, then, but the sight of it made the child squinted in horror. Megumi had always known his father might be a little psychotic, but he never esteemed him to be this crazy. Or sadistic. Whichever adjective he could think of to describe his father as a lunatic.

Lives… here? Was he a resident of one of the apartments next door? Shiu’s background checks on the place never mentioned the likes of this guy.
“Oh! I see the confusion. You think I’m human. That’s hilarious.” The questionable young man laughed so loud it echoed through the entire house. Toji would not share in such laughter. He stepped forward and shoved the intruder’s back into his fridge, knife at the ready in order to continue making his demands.
‘Not human’ could mean a lot of things if one were crazy enough, but no matter what he was meant to infer from the statement, preventing Megumi from getting caught between them was more important.
