His alarm goes off at eleven PM because of course it does. Of course, his shift starts at midnight, not nine AM like any normal job would. Of course, he chose to go crawling back to the only existence he’d even known before that damned SMP. That actually made him pause and think for a moment before quickly shaking his head, "Phil, I've told you and mum before I'm not interested in dating."
"That's also not what I meant," his father sighed on the other end of the line, "what I meant was-"
Wilbur didn't hear the last part of his sentence as someone promptly ran into him with enough force to make him lose his balance and topple over. A rather loud curse left this mouth paired with a surprised chirp as he landed on his back, phone landing screen first in the rough gravel patch.
The person who had run into him also fell, cursing even louder than him, something he hadn't even thought was possible. But no, it definitely was.
"Watch where you're going, bitch!"
Or: Moving to an entirely different country was, on second thought, perhaps not the best decision Wilbur made. Instincts are a tacky thing to deal with, his new attachment even more so.
