He was naked, save for a worn towel slung around his hips with traces of shaving cream dripping from his neck. The horse seemed to give the man a side-eye before trotting over to him and welcoming his calming pats. Jane was perturbed, still recovering from the rude greeting.
“Sorry ‘bout him. He isn’t usually this stand-offish with strangers,” the man gave her an easy smile, “How can I help you?” He asked, stepping toward her and holding his towel with one hand while extending the other to shake.
A gesture he quickly dropped when Jane whipped her sunglasses off replying, “Well, for starters, you could get your stubborn arse over here and finish this divorce.”
