Summary
It was extremely rare for a witch, warlock, or wizard to give up their magic. In all of his studies, Dylan had only heard of it happening three times. Two of those were in punishment for using that magic to harm others, after the council had declared beheadings too barbarick. (Thanks, Grandma Aggie.) The third was standing in front of him with a sheepish smile.
"Your sister said you were looking for me?" Ethan asked. He was visibly nervous, even after all they'd been through just the night before.

Summary
He remembers his grandma saying magic is very simple: all you have to do is want something and let yourself have it. But Dylan’s never been any good with that—the magic and the wanting both.

Return to Halloweentown, except there are no wannabe overlords or queen bees using mind-control, there’s just Halloweentown and its magical university adjusting to students with no magic—and struggling to find their place amid it all, Ethan, who has not suddenly learned to color-coordinate since high school, and Dylan, who’s hoping that for once he can just enjoy his Halloween.
