Months ago, the woman had disclosed to him that Rook couldn’t swim like it was a headline she read that left a bad taste in her mouth.
Lucanis had felt his eyes twitch at that; all of the potential hazards to Rook’s safety, now including water, flashed in his mind all at once, “... You’re sure?”

The Crows were almost to the point of breaking, Anitva felt the weight of its possible fall, and that's not even touching the end of times once more. When Teia tries to get the stubborn Crow to rest and breathe, Alessa final lets it all out.
The Qunari aren't ready for this fight, Venatori did not think about her wrath, the world would also see how dead set she was. For better of for worse.
