Summary
Her life was a rather large cage, yes, but a cage nonetheless. And every choice she made was another chip in its steel bars. She would bend them. Smash them. Shatter them into a million pieces, so they could never be rebuilt.
Thranduil was waiting. And she had promised to see him again.

"There are neither enough droplets in the sea nor stars in the sky that could outnumber the days I would spend in wait for you, Aínwar Firekeeper. I will love you until the end of this world and those that shall come thereafter — in every life, throughout every Age — so that, no matter how many times we are destined to meet, I will love you in all of them…and you will know to look for me."

Mairon was working in his workshop, quite satisfied with the advancement of his project when the door opened violently, and the cold presence of his master joined him, feeling suspiciously cheerful.
Mairon felt dread at that: Melkor was never cheerful unless he made something that was going to complicate his life tremendously. -

Summary
Elurín and Eluréd survive the second kinslaying as birds, actually.
~
Two sparrows sat upon an elm branch, sheltered and silent. They watched as a few Golodhrim emerged from the eastern gates of Menegroth, circling and calling their names. They watched when several of them found the packs, hidden as if in haste beneath a stone cairn. One of them left the packs there and went within, and soon after a tall Golodh with hair like sunset came out and stumbled to the ground beside them.
The Golodh seemed to be grieving. He clutched the packs to his chest with one hand, for the other was cut off at the wrist, and called their names; but they held still, very still.
They looked upon him and did not trust him: the Golodh’s garments were still splattered with blood, red as his hair.
The snow began to fall in earnest then, as the day faded, and the Golodh remained there, calling them until his voice was hoarse.

Summary
Gothmog remains standing. He has no respect for this man; one has no respect for any creature lesser than oneself. But he would be a worse fool than Bauglir if he thought the man a fool only. Some of his moods are downright dangerous, some of his mad schemes are desperately successful.
This looks to be a dangerous mood. Gothmog casts his dice.
“So he’s still alive,” he says, confidential-like. “More than alive. As well and wily as ever, eh?”

Summary
Ancalagon was the greatest of all the flying dragons, who took part in the final defense of the Angband during the War of Wrath at the end of the First Age. After a long and terrible battle in the air, Ancalagon was slain by Eärendil and his fall destroyed the mountains of Thangorodrim as he plummeted from the sky.
But that was where history erred- for while Ancalagon was indeed felled, it was not to death but from grievous wounds. For so many centuries passed that the land grew over the great black wyrm, centuries and then milleium until the world was no longer that of Arda. When Ancalagon finally awoke from his slumber, he found himself within a new land, a new world, a new beginning. One where Eru Ilúvatar was absent and Ainur and even dragons were unknown.
Confused yet intrigued, Ancalagon set forth in this strange new world. And in doing so chose to emulate that of his long dead king Morgoth whom inspired his own meddling of creations, and thus dragons and dragonblooded Valyrians came to be.

Summary
After the sack of Doriath and the fall of Gondolin, the elves escaped
to the Havens of Sirion. There, Gil-galad was crowned as the Highking
of the Noldor. He left Oropher and Thranduil behind in the Havens to
search for new land, where he eventually found Lindon. During the War
of Wrath, Thranduil was severely injured and scarred for life. Additionally,
he lost his mother. Thranduil was taken to a medical facility in Mithlond
where he met Elrond, a skilled young healer who helped him recover from
his injuries. Not only did Elrond teach Thranduil how to use magic glamour
to cover the scar on his left cheek, but he also fell in love with him.The Birth of a King series is about the birth and life of Thranduil until he
becomes the Elvenking, gets married to a Sidhe elf and has an heir.
It's also the life and death of his fathers, Oropher and Gil-galad.Series

Summary
Ancalagon doesn't say hoard because to hoard is to keep, to hoard is selfish and yes, dragons are selfish by nature. His Master is selfish too. But you see, if your hoard starts with a gift, you’ll always remember that the most precious things are given, not stolen.
