Needing to make ends meet, Bucky takes up a position as tutor to Zemo’s children. This is how their lives intersect.

Or, at least, he had planned on it until he’d been dropped into the job of caring for four children while their older brother served in the military.
It didn’t sound too hard, all things considered. But Captain Jake Seresin was annoying him, and perhaps it wasn’t going to be quite so entertaining after all.

Essentially, I threw Obi-Wan Kenobi and friends into a blender with the entire plot of The Sound of Music, and this was the result.

Dick had known to expect this. “Thank you, Reverend Mother,” Dick says respectfully, “but I cannot follow that path.”
The Mother Superior nods. He looks unsurprised. “Then perhaps,” he says, “you would be interested to hear of another opportunity.” From the papers on his desk, the abbess removes a single sheet. “Are you familiar with Captain Wayne?”
Dick accepts a position as governess to eight war-orphans, adopted by millionaire and WW1 flying ace Captain Bruce Wayne. The rest is inevitable.

It's hard, but Thoma can admit that he often prioritizes his work over his own wellbeing. So he takes it in stride when Ayato and Ayaka fire him, when they have him leave Inazuma entirely, and even when he discovers that his new job is to take care of a winery owner's seven children. He trusts that his friends want the best for him, and he trusts that their plan will benefit everybody in the long run.
Falling in love, however, was never part of the plan.
