Long ago, when the world was one, there lived two magic clans; the Umbra Witches, dwellers of the darkness, and the Lumen Sages, controllers of the light. Though on opposing sides, the two clans respected one another and worked together to keep balance in the world. Unfortunately, that balance was lost when the other clans attacked, which soon broke out into a full-blown war that ended with all the clans' destruction and both the Sages and Witches were wiped from the face of the now divided Earth. Or so it was believed...
Now, 500 years later, the Witch who hunts angels and the Sage who hunts demons have returned. The world now divided into Standard, Fusion, Synchro, Xyz and Ritual.
