“Right, but you didn’t answer my texts for literally four months, so. I’m not an idiot?”
Seungmin frowned, squinting. He did have a point. “Fair,” he voiced. “I think I just needed time to get over it. But unfortunately, you’re too cute and fun to talk to, to stay away from for long.”

Taking a steadying breath, Vi jogged toward the batter's box, her cleats kicking up dust. She wiped her hands on her pants, flexing her fingers around the bat as she stepped up. She planted her feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent, and held the bat firm but loose—high enough for a quick, controlled swing. Her focus locked in as she stared down Caitlyn.
Caitlyn stood tall on the pitcher's mound, her figure poised and deliberate. Her glove rose to her chest as she rubbed the ball, her piercing blue eyes never leaving Vi.

Caitlyn adjusted her footing, lifted her leg high, and pitched with a snap of her wrist.
