“I am aware, I have fought many battles in the past, Your Highness.” He breathed. The tension alone could be cut with a knife.
“Ah, I see. How commendable.” Jing Yuan chuckled, eyes never leaving the other.

They say the eyes are the gateway to a person’s soul. Jing Yuan looks at Blade’s eyes and sees it’s not the color of the night sky, but a crimson and amber hue just like Lycoris Radiata in the afternoon sun; he is no longer the man he loves but a different person. He is not Yingxing anymore, he is Blade.
