She never asks for help, but he wanted her to know that he’s always here to catch her. Both literally and figuratively. She could fall and he wouldn't judge her, just hold her up so she could regain strength and move on. In the kitchen and in life.

Summary
I don’t know if anyone paid attention to it but Colette tried to hit Linguini twice in the movie, once actually do it. The second time when he said that Remy is controlling him during cooking, she raised her opened hand like she wanted to hit him. But did she have a good reason to do it? Where did she get that habit from? That story explains my theory and point of view.

"We've shared so much... I just wish we could understand each other a little better." He doesn't miss the extra twinkle in the night sky as he looks out into the heavens, but remains unaware that he's just wished upon all their heads a night of discovery.
The obligatory watching the movie fic with commentary and reflection from Remy, Linguini, and Colette.

Summary
Just because Colette was willing to work with a rat who made good food for a night didn’t mean that she knew just how much of a chef Remy was. AKA, Remy’s ability to run a kitchen full of complete novices without opposable thumbs is not well recognized, and quality leadership is a familiar thing that Colette respects when she sees.

Summary
Colette and Linguini work well together in their new bistro, “ La Ratatouille.” They seem to dance around each other with ease- Linguini expertly balancing large trays of fine food while zipping around on skates and Colette matching his speed with ferocity as she finishes dishes right in the knick of time. All this while their star chef, Remy, adds the distinct, uncommon flair to their food that the restaurant is known for.
What happens to be a little less obvious to the outside observer is the lovely matte black plug nestled deeply, deliciously in Linguini’s tight little hole as he works. Though the waiter is normally jittery and clumsy, today he happens to be especially on edge.
Colette approves, and though he’ll work hard to please her in the bedroom later that night, it takes help from a certain special chef for Linguini to earn what he’s worked so hard for.
We aren’t dealing with any rat dicks, so don’t worry about that.
Though I still looked it up out of curiosity.
(spoiler: they look like little worms)

Summary
Everything we do, everything we are was set in place by the actions of someone long ago. Sometimes those actions are traceable, and sometimes the thread is hidden by time and space, but everything that happens is because of something else. Do we have any free will? Is there a god? Or is all divinity created so the fear of death is not so bad? Perhaps God is real, a cruel and unloving father who abandoned us a long time ago.
