Summary
Set a couple of years before the events of the first Sonic the Hedgehog movie. A 9 year old kid named Alex Kidd gets bullied by a group of popular kids from his school. He tries running away from them in the woods. He then falls through a hole in the ground which led to a cave where he met a blue anthropomorphic hedgehog named Sonic. Sonic and Alex quickly become friends and Sonic no longer feels lonely.

Summary
Four Sonics, each with their own problems:
Classic Sonic is preparing for war, which isn't made any easier by knowing the future, but at least he can try to avoid the terrible mistakes of the past.
Modern Sonic is fighting in an arena for his defeated nation's freedom. His plans change when he meets a troubled psychic child with a message from the stars.
Miracle Sonic has a vision that isn't like the ones he usually has. He needs help, but he only knows one person who can help him and he wonders if it's worth it.
Meanwhile, his deranged Bad Future counterpart has found a way to leave the planet before it falls apart altogether, but he feels bad about abandoning the robots who still remain in operation under his control.
