Inspired by an ancient book, Lumine has put together an expedition beyond the edges of human civilization. She brings along eight companions into a strange and marvelous wasteland, searching for a great door that hides an even greater secret. But the 'truth of the world' is jealously guarded by a force beyond reckoning, and even discovering that fact can be a death sentence.
But an expedition like this is a hothouse for emotions and relationships. Kaeya, afraid of who he'll become beyond Mondstadt, pushes everybody to their limits. Albedo, so used to controlling himself, finds himself... slipping. Mona experiences terrifying self-doubt as she starts to realize fragments of the truth. And in a land where death itself is broken, Hu Tao starts losing herself while Kazuha's ghosts hunt him down. Meanwhile, Xingqiu wants desperately to protect his friends... but how?

“Yes,” Albedo admitted, and Kaeya looked momentarily stunned, as if he had expected Albedo to brush the comment off.
“Oh,” he said, apparently lost for words. He recovered quickly and spread his arms in an exaggerated gesture as his smirk returned. “Well, here I am,” he said with a laugh.

He meet a certain adventurer from Mondstadt with the worst case of misfortune. But what was supposed to be just a job slowly turns into something else...
[POV: It's an in-game book description]
A mysterious “fiction” draft that is found in the basement of a storage house in Qingce Village. The character names are altered but you can decipher who they refer to. These drafts are scattered everywhere as if someone is scrambling to hide them from something. The cover has a distinct style similar to a popular novel from Inazuma about intergalactic wars, but the tone of this story definitely contrasts the former. -
