He heard the rustling of Jae-Beom’s clothes as he leaned closer, his breath ghosting the shell of Namjoon’s ear.

Agent Kim Namjoon has been working for the National Intelligence Service (NIS) for seven years, working his way up through Major Crimes.
He's given a six-month posting into the UEP Department, also known as the 'Career Suicide' assignment. On his first day, Agent Min Yoongi gives him a less than welcoming introduction, which unfortunately has no end in sight; they bicker, they argue, they get under each other's skin. Namjoon is certain Yoongi is the first person he's ever truly hated.
Four months in, they get a case that takes them north, hunting for a monster terrorising Elkeu Gang National Park. To their utter dismay, they're put up in a small ranger's cabin in the deep forest instead of a warm, cosy hotel.

He starts with warm ups, pentatonic scales and key signatures from compositions he knows, improvising a little and barely thinking about what he’s playing. He keeps an eye on the target - Kang Seohoon, third son of the Kang family and someone with a penchant for platinum blond twinks - the man slowly being drawn into Yoongi’s gravity as if enchanted. Yoongi is so busy splitting his concentration between the piano keys and the advancing of Kang’s surgically perfected facade, the sudden intake of breath in his ear almost makes him jump.
“Kang-ssi at three o’clock,” Seokjin sing-songs over the earpiece and Yoongi only barely resists the urge to roll his eyes.
“The reflexes are getting slow in your old age, huh,” Yoongi murmurs to the mic - and camera - slipped in his bow tie.
“Mm, save the brattiness for the target, why don’t you,” Seokjin replies easily, “He likes them feisty.”
“Too bad, that’s not who he’s getting,” he replies drily, refusing to entertain Seokjin, “Do you have something else for me?”
“Your hands look so pretty when you play the piano, Yoongi-yah,” Seokjin purrs, utterly unprofessional and Yoongi loathes the fact that it does anything for him.

Taehyung was used to surprises. He worked in the emergency room as a nurse for a couple of years and had seen pretty much everything in the book. What he wasn't expecting was to find a stranger passed out against the hospital while he was heading home. Taehyung also wasn't expecting to see the stranger, Jeongguk, again after he helped him the first time. Jeongguk ended up showing up from time to time and Taehyung mended his wounds. Taehyung kept Jeongguk's secrets, and Jeongguk kept Taehyung the company he didn't realize he needed.
At least Taehyung thought he was keeping Jeongguk's secrets. Maybe the 'street fighter' wasn't as truthful as Taehyung thought.Read 2:00 AM in French here!
