Scott is absolutely, positively exhausted. He's only been the bad guy for a few days, and yet he's already done. Done with life. Stuck in a position he's made for himself and unable to feel anything but regret, he's almost given up when a strange cat appears on his windowsill. Inviting it in, he realizes that he might have finally found someone who listens to him and cares, even if it is just a cat. However, something is off about his feline friend, and he might not have been revealing his true feelings to a random stray cat.

A strange, stonelike path was suspended in mid-air, winding around the hero HQ like a boa constrictor about to squeeze its prey to death. How the hell was the rock-path not affected by gravity?! Not much else could be seen on the footage at the angle at which that camera was placed, so Joel moved on to the next screen.
This camera had a way better vantage point, he could see evenly spaced blobs of dynamite stashed away on window-sills and support beans. In the corner of the camera, the stone path was being built along, as if by magic.

As fun as the Life Games can be, they also take a lot out of everyone. Joel thinks they need something a bit less eventful and suggests firing up the Afterlife server. However, upon their return, they encounter unexpected glitches in the mods. They revert to old origins instead of rolling new ones, the day/night cycle and biomes are all screwed up, and the livestock has completely vanished. It doesn't help that Joel gets stuck with Scott and Jimmy—and they're being weird and all flower-husbandy about everything.

He wasn’t quite sure how he got into that situation (that was a lie, he knew exactly what he had done to cause this) but he was currently trapped in a cave, with no sign of escape. Not that it was his fault, though, since he was meant to be a bad guy! How could he be a vampire without at least trying to do some bad things? It was in his nature to get up to some mischief, which may or may not be seen as crimes by others, but absolutely were not.
Well, they weren’t big crimes. Not in Scott’s opinion, at least.
