“Sorry if this is too personal, but how’d you come out? I mean, you came out at like, what, 16? It was only 2009, people weren’t really talking about being queer,” Jenn asked.
“That’s…a little random. Why do you ask?” Ian paused, their eyes flickering over to meet their co-workers.
“It’s for a friend. A friend’s kid, to be exact. That’s a story for another time though…” She raised her eyebrows as they pursed their lips together.
“It wasn’t pretty.”
