Summary
“Why must you encourage him?” Lucanis responds, glancing over at Rook. It’s less of a question than it is a sigh of a man who has already resigned himself to the fate of mediating such conversations. “He is already a nuisance whenever you come near.” She sucks her cheeks in, hoping they aren't burning as red as they feel. “Cállate , Spite! I'll… I will tell her. You may not.” His head drops and hands still in the basin. A heavy slightly annoyed sigh leaves him. “He says you smell like honey and oranges.”
“Spite, what have we told you about announcing how people smell?” she chides without looking up from the plate she's drying. “Most find it a tad off putting.”
“Me especially,” Lucanis chimes in.
She peeks over to find him averting his eyes, intensely pretending to focus on the dishes in the basin. “That being said, I'm glad you noticed,” she continues. Their arms touch when she leans toward him as if she's talking directly to Spite on his opposite side. It stops his movements dead. “I did wash my hair. Had to get all the blight gunk out of it.”
---
I wanted to imagine something happened after Lucanis made a whole dessert for Rook.

Summary
There is shouting somewhere. Maybe it’s distant. Maybe it’s right beside Lucanis. Maybe it’s simply Spite seething up his spine. He can’t be sure. All he knows is that he is on his knees beside the pile of blighted flesh that tormented Thedas these last months. The elven god who made attempts to torment his city is gone. He has completed a part of his contract. There is usually catharsis in that, yet he sits on his knees beside the corpse with his fists balled in front of him.
The victory is empty with the losses they’ve rendered in the process.
Harding is gone.
Neve is missing.

Summary
Right now, though, she’s approaching with a softness in her features. One that comes bearing gifts if her full hands are any indication.
“Looks more like brooding to me, but whatever you say,” she quips, shoving a glass of wine in his direction. In her other hand, she precariously holds another glass and what appears to be a makeshift sack made from cheesecloth. “But Harding made dinner, so I know you’re running on too much coffee and sheer force of will.” She takes a sip of her wine, holding the cheesecloth parcel out to him. “Eat.”
After a brief moment of hesitation, he accepts the bag from her. The loose knot she’s tied is flimsy and easy to unravel. While this was likely done on purpose for ease of reopening, he commits this to memory in the event they will need any sort of fastening by means of knot tying in the future. Within the confines of the bag, he finds several slices of cheese that vary in size and thickness–cut quickly and haphazardly–, half a small loaf of bread, and an apple.
