Summary
The universe is big, and it's mostly empty, but it's somewhat not-empty, and this is where the trouble begins. See, the trouble is — Mumbo has discovered this, in his many years aboard Hermitcraft — the trouble is that anyone can do anything if they're smart enough, because it's all circuits, all the way down, and these circuits have rather exploitable rules.
It's lucky, he often thinks, that the hermits are smarter than just about anyone, and better than anyone at exploiting circuits.

Hermitcraft But Space Pirates, featuring: an author who knows a thing or two about computers, a universe that’s literally 100% computer, and the unfortunate degree of reality-editing which naturally follows from that. And featuring, of course, the hermits, who are over-competent, ungovernable, and probably on their way to rock someone’s shit.
