A different handling of the pit scorpion event. Leads to Poseidon deciding that if Zeus is going to ignore the problem that is their father returning. Than he is going to take full advantage of it to skirt the ancient laws.

OR

A universe that after the pit scorpion incident Percy ends up spending extended time in Atlantis. And that might change more then you would think.

Notes:

Can't believe I'm having to say this about an AU since it really shouldn't need to be said. But no this won't be fully book accurate. Yes this will take some pieces from the tv show. It is technically a mix of both canons.

Why?

Arch scene among other things. That really shouldn't have been written the way it was originally. And it really didn't need to be one to one adapted to modern scene. Plus honestly the suspense even if we take away the other issues makes it the better version.

Also just a note IYC will not remain part one once the actual bulk of the series. It will end up being Part 3 even as it will get integrated into the fic eventually that will make up the SOM version of events. The further I get into Poisonous Dominoes the less compliant it is with it. So at this point consider it a creative writing exercise and not mainstream to the rest.
