Summary
In 1718 Edward "Blackbeard" Teach was being harried by the British and desperate to save his life. His deliverance came in the dubious deal offered to him by the Gentleman Pirate. At the time, he didn't think selling his soul was too high a price for his life, but that was before he withstood the trials of time.
For three hundred years Ed has lived dealing in souls, longing for his freedom and hating the man that doomed him. Once every hundred years he has a chance at freedom if only one of Bonnet's bloodline takes over his contract. He's failed twice already, but in 2018 he comes face to face with Stede Bonnet. Newly divorced, eccentric, endearingly sweet Stede Bonnet.

Stede Bonnet is reinventing himself after the death of his father, purchasing a ramshackle bar in the hopes of making it his own personal success. It's all going according to plan until a man named Ned Low begins to show up trying to take over.
Edward Teach has been a werewolf for 25 years and it's all so bloody boring, that is until he comes across the man that bought his old bar fearlessly facing down a former rival. A man that doesn't shrink away at the sight of him and who knows exactly the right place to scratch behind his ears. A man who looks at a two hundred pound werewolf and sees a dog. It's more fun than he's had in years, and he'll do anything to stay close to him.

Summary
Professor Edward Teach has been fascinated by pirates since the time he was a child thanks to sharing his name with one of the most famous pirates in the world. He's specialized in them from their history in the distant past to the current iterations of piracy in the modern world. He's finally settled down in an illustrious university to teach his passion when one evening a new name pops up on the class roster.
Stede Bonnet.
It isn't the first time a vampire has been in his class, but it's the first time one of them has pretended to be a famous pirate from the Golden Age. The new student vampire seems to be insistent that Ed's got his facts muddled and is eager to correct him time and time again.
And worse, the man is damnably attractive, well spoken and interesting as fuck, even if he is carrying delusions about being the former Gentleman Pirate.
