Shang Qinghua, still the outer disciple Houhua, doesn't know how to feel about being being forced into his broken mess of a novel, especially with a system breathing down his back to stick to the plot he never wanted to write. But when faced with a chance to save the great scum villain from his tragic backstory, Shang Houhua is faced with a choice. What happens if he allows himself to view the characters around him as people? If he's not allowed to deviate from the plot, is it still worth it to try to help? And what can some canon fodder character like him do anyway?

Shen Jiu's life has not been a happy one. Pain, fear, anger, and mistrust haunt his every waking thought. He knows people, knows the cruelty and harshness with which they act. So what is he supposed to make of the hands reaching out towards him? And when the gilded facade of a peerless sect reveals the cracks underneath, he must find a way to not drown between them. But as a designated villain, is there any chance for him to change?

When two lost souls collide, how will the broken world of PIDW change? Will it find new hope and joy, or is it forever fated to the miserable ending of the original plot?

This series will be 2 parts. The first part is pre-canon while the second one takes place during the canon time period and will add in characters like Lou Binghe and Shen Yuan. They're both going to be LONG fics, but the second one will likely be the longer of the two. I've been working on this for a while before posting, so I've very excited to share it with everyone!

After the main works are posted, I might include some side stories as well. Some of those might be spicy, so if you're sad there's none of that in the main work, there might one day be some stuff here!
