Summary
The constant moving around and general lack of real connections were never great. But being stranded in Lawrence, forced to stay in place until his dad comes for him, is worse. Especially once someone starts hunting him.
Going to the police is in every conceivable way a terrible plan. Accepting personal help from a severely overinvolved cop is quite possibly an even worse one. Above all because Dean is up to his neck in illicit activities and police-related trauma. But maybe, just once, it would be nice to have someone look out for him.

Summary
Harvard-educated psychologist, supervisory special agent at The National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crime, no emotions to slow him down or cloud his judgement: Castiel is the best in his field.
He has to be, to track down the leader of the extremist group he’s in charge of bringing down. It’s a matter of national security and Castiel is willing to do whatever it takes.
Posing as a police officer in Lawrence is a small price to pay for a chance at catching his target. It’s annoying, boring, unfulfilling. But that’s all manageable. What might not be is an unruly pool shark with bright green eyes and a severe attitude problem.
Luckily, Castiel is an expert of human behavior: How to understand it, how to predict it. And most importantly, how to control it.
